Chapter Eighteen
Curtis zipped ahead of Reed, overtaking him on the stretch of road between The Asylum and Traceyâs. The blue sky, dotted with puffy clouds, couldnât have been more beautiful. On days like this, the road felt like a friend, the cool breeze making his leathers a pleasure, and the dry pavement his personal playground. Catching his playful mood, Reed overtook him. They raced on the straightaway, then slowed and rode side-by-side as they went over the dip into the little valley where Tracey lived.
Awakening next to Reed this morning, heâd spent hours making his boy beg for mercy against repeated onslaughts of pleasure, until at last Reed had lain back against him, dozing. Curtis had taken his time exploring his face and chest, brushing his skin and teasing his hair with feather-light touches. Thereâd have been no reason to move from that perfect spot with his perfectly imperfect boy, except for two necessitiesâfood and Ezranâs seventeenth birthday party. Tracey would have killed him and Reed both if theyâd missed the party she and Garet had secretly planned.
While theyâd been getting ready, Reed kept quiet, but Curtis hadnât left his side for a second, giving him no chance to retreat into uncertainty and fear. Insisting the bathroom door remain open, later keeping him on his lap while he ate, Curtis didnât give the man a momentâs separationâand wouldnât for a long time. Too damn bad if he got sick of being kept on a tight leash. If there were a way to cuff them together without freaking out Tracey, Reed would be sitting behind him, chained at the hip both literally and figuratively as they rode.
Last night had been by turns amazing and gutting. Reedâs body, his ass and chest framed in loops and twists of purple and black hemp, had been a work of art. If not for The Asylumâs strict policy against photographs on the premises, Curtis would have caught the sublime pout of parted lips when Reed, head tossed and hair wild, found his release. Heâd presented a picture of wild and unselfconscious abandon, a memory which, even now, drove Curtis wild.
Pulling into Traceyâs gravel drive on the outskirts of East Anniston Falls, he parked his bike out of the way under a spruce, took off his helmet and breathed in deep as Reed parked next to him. The driveway would be full as the day and night wore on, and he wanted to be able to slip out with Reed earlier than Lawson and the rest of the guests. He didnât often have the dungeon to himself and had a few surprises of his own planned for Reed that didnât include prying eyes or pain. Tonight, would be all about pleasure.
He leaned over, brushing his lips against Reedâs mouth. Sighing, Reed gave him a shy smile, a hint of happiness sparkling in his eyes. Wariness still lurked, a shadow behind the blue, but at least he had begun to heal from the trauma of Curtisâs disappearance. Regret rode Curtis like a jockey, whipping at his conscience.
